Recommendation & Admission

Standardize professional recommendation, targeted invitation, independent review and formal acceptance procedures

Recommendations, Candidate Profiles and Written Reviews

The admission process starts with professional recommendations and supports independent review with complete files

Recommendations can be made by current members, institutional members, the candidate's unit or institutions with ongoing professional ties; the association can also initiate targeted invitations to specific individuals or institutions based on professional work needs. The recommendation or invitation basis should explain the time and actual scenario when the professional relationship was formed, list one or two representative practices that can be verified, clarify the role, work quality, continuity and public responsibility of the candidate, and explain its compatibility with the association's purpose and member responsibilities.

Candidate individuals or organizations submit corresponding files after being informed of the recommendation or targeted invitation and agreeing to enter the process. Personal materials focus on describing professional experience, works or project records, and public responsibilities; institutional materials focus on describing subject qualifications, business scope, professional connections, designated liaison roles, and cooperation boundaries.

The association completed material verification, professional adaptation judgment and governance review respectively. Participants who have direct cooperation, relatives, interests or other relationships that may affect independent judgment should declare and avoid forming relevant opinions.

Professional recommendations or targeted invitations are the basis for initiating deliberation and are not equivalent to automatic admission. The association can provide additional facts to the recommending subject or candidate based on the materials, and ultimately confirm whether to issue a formal invitation and the corresponding membership category based on the independent review results.

The four stages form startup, verification, professional and governance records respectively.

Each stage only deals with corresponding issues: the basis for recommendation or invitation confirmation procedures, candidate file verification and confirmation of facts, professional evaluation to determine suitability, and governance confirmation to decide whether to issue a formal invitation.

  1. 01

    Recommended or invited to start

Confirm whether the recommendation body or association’s invitation basis, candidate category, professional field, and candidate body are aware of and agree to enter the review process.

Formation record: program startup record and candidate number
  2. 02

    Candidate profile verification

Check the identity of the individual or organization, professional experience, representative work, actual role, public authorization and necessary statements, and list the supplementary scope at one time if any missing items are found.

Form records: candidate file directory and verification opinions
  3. 03

    Professional criticism and avoidance

Based on the appropriate professional judgment to match the candidate field and membership category, focus on continuity of practice, professional contribution, cooperation reputation and public responsibility, and record interest relationships and avoidance situations.

Form a record: Professional adaptation opinions and avoidance records
  4. 04

    Governance confirmation and formal invitation

Confirm acceptance, membership categories, public scope, validity status and initial performance matters in accordance with governance procedures; only issue formal written invitations to confirmed candidates and establish membership files.

Creating records: governance decisions, formal invitations and membership records

Materials should describe professional facts, actual roles, and public boundaries

The range of materials is adjusted by individual or institutional category. Resumes, portfolios, projects, research, training, education or public service records should be mutually corroborative and promotional presentations should not be used as a substitute for verifiable professional records.
